Opened in 2005, by Dr. Charles David, with 16 rooms, he maintained that way for 4 years.  Then, much needed, a new wing, with 21 more rooms was opened. The new addition also provides an additional dining room, new laundry area and a family visiting area. 

Dr. David worked at St. Rita's Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center and fell in love with our County. He had a dream to give back and to help the elderly in the county of his new found home.

Putnam Heritage recently was awarded a 2009 Long Term Care Resident Satisfaction Survey award. P.H. was the only Putnam County facility to make this top 25 statewide. 

The average score of such an achievement was 85.85% out of 100%. Putnam Heritagecame in at a whopping 97.36%. This put them at #16 statewide in this category. The survey was conducted between August 2009 and January 2010. Residents were asked to rate their satisfaction with the facility's environment, activities, administration, direct care/nursing assistants, laundry, meals and dining, social services, therapy, laundry and general satisfaction with the facility.
